The following people participated in the 1988 floating-point indoctrination
lectures given at Sun Microsystems by Prof. W. Kahan, and have since fallen
out of sight:

Melanie Stein formerly at Apple Computer
Tobing Soebroto formerly at Santa Clara University
	Roger Schlafly formerly at Borland
Ashfaq Munshi formerly at Enhancement Technologies
Peter Hsieh formerly at Chips and Technologies

If you know any of these folks, you might encourage them to get in touch
with me as soon as possible if they are interested in getting the final
handouts from those lectures, consisting of unedited lecture notes from
about half the lectures plus a random assortment of other items of varying
interest.

If none of them respond, there might be one or two sets of those final
handouts left over which I will donate to the first meritorious request
coming from this mailing list (meritoriousness is increased by coming
from an organization that
didn't have other people attending those lectures and by willingness to pick
up the handouts in Mountain View).

As for the many people on numeric-interest who did attend the lectures
and haven't picked up the final handouts, be assured that we have a part-time
student figuring out how to package them up and ship them off to you, so
you should be getting them Real Soon Now, since we need the office space.
