My father was born 94 years ago in a time very different from ours.
In a number of ways, we've made a lot of progress since then.

In other ways, it seems the world is regressing to the 1930's world he grew 
up in.     I don't know what he would make of the current political scene.
I do know that as a professor and historian, he didn't think much of people
who spouted off without doing their homework, and even less of people that
knowingly propagated things they knew to be false.

I'd like to think that I will finally resume resending his daily historical
memoirs in 2017.     If I do, and if the email becomes burdensome, and you've
