Cousin Barbara:

Good to hear from you again.

I find it hardly likely that the Travis Hough who was killed in the Oakland fire was the same one born 1913. That would make him 103 years old...

A Travis Wayne Hough is buried in Gilmer (Upshur County) Texas. <http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=hough&GSfn=Travis&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=108872995&df=all&> He would be of the right age to be the son of the Travis Hough b1913, and could have a son of the age for the fire victim...

My feeling is that he would be a grandson as they said that those victims were all 35 or younger...

Have a Merry Christmas.

Gerry

Hello David,

Thanks for sending this, it is interesting as my SC line has a Travis Hough
of TX (desc William Andrew Jackson Hough of SC) but I have no descendants
for Travis .. born 1913 he could be a grandfather.
I couldn't find any history from the google search on where he was from.

Glad to see your are continuing awareness of our lineage. If you find
anything further to help id him please let me know.
Take care, Happy Holidays coming . . . .
Barbara Roesch

One of the first fatalities identified from the fire Friday was a
musician and glass artist named Travis Hough. You can google
"Travis Hough artist Oakland" to find stories from the local papers.

Does anybody know if he was our kin?

About the only thing one can say about this terrible tragedy is that one
hopes some good will come out of it to prevent future recurrences.
