In retrospect, reunion was not the word to use. It did apply to 4 of those that I mentioned. I first met Kathy Gower at a gathering in San Francisco in 1998 and several times since at other gatherings in the US and at a surprise meeting at the Peaceable Kingdom in Moratinos. I met George Greenia first at a Santa Fe gathering and again at the first Santa Barbara gathering. Possibly at Boulder as well, but I can't remember now. I first met Rebekah Scott and Michel Besson when we were on a panel discussion at the Boulder gathering. Later I had the good fortune to make a couple of visits to Rebekah's Peaceable Kingdom.

The other three had been long term email correspondents, but we had never met in person. It was a great pleasure to meet face to face with Sylvia Nelson, Sue Kenney, and Fraluchi.

Another special bonus was meeting up with Johnny Walker and his hard-working band of volunteer "Amigos." I sort of neglected Johnny in the reunion message. It was not so much a neglect, but more a taking for granted. Johnny is not one of the visiting veteran caministas, but more like a permanent fixture, like statue of Santigo.
