[Gocamino] Camino in May, 2012

Hi Janet,
I'm a Brit who lives in St Jean Pied de Port where I have the B & B
Errecaldia
<http://errecaldia.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1>.
Possibly the easiest and cheapest way is to fly to the UK London
Heathrow or Gatwick then take the transfer bus to London's third airport
Stansted where you can get a direct flight on Ryanair into Biarritz.
From there you take either the number 6 bus or, if pushed for time, a
taxi to Bayonne (St Esprit) station and the train straight to SJPdP.
This works well if you have an overnight flight arriving early into
London because you will be able to make the transfer to Stansted and the
Biarritz flight in the early afternoon. You can take a flight into
Paris CDG and then the train to Bayonne or Paris CDG transfer to Paris
Orly and then a flight to Biarritz on Air France.
I wouldn't recommend flying into Madrid because although it's
relatively easy to do the USA Madrid flight after that it is complicated
and time consuming. Basically it's not easy to travel from Spain into
France using anything other than a car.
      I hope that helps.
Regards
Tim

I am putting together a packing list, but need some assistance on the transportaion issue...best place to fly into from California...and the transportation from that location. ( I have been told to fly into Paris, France, spend the night to recoupe from jet lag then take the train to Bayonne? and then qa bus to St Jean de Pied...)
