[Gocamino] Is there a consensus on easiest way to get from US to St. Jean?

I've done both and think that the Madrid route is about the same cost and is more convenient. I live in Kentucky and generally fly from Lexington-Atlanta-Madrid. I think the Paris airport is one of the most confusing in the world, and I have seen a lot of them. I really dislike CDG.
