[Gocamino] diabetes

Hello!
I will be walking the Camino from St. Pied to Santiago starting in 
mid-June '07. I would like to hear from other travelers who have type 1 
diabetes and would like to share their experiences with eating 
schedules, needle disposal, blood sugar control, type of footwear, how 
to keep insulin cool,etc. I have excellent control here in the States 
after 20 years being insulin dependent but any information you can 
provide would be very much appreciated.
