I also agree with Claudia.

The other thing I was thinking about this, and I will not claim any deep
knowledge of the history, is that I believe a number of European countries -
in fear of Hitler's growing power - tried to appease him, but it did nothing
to prevent their eventual downfall to Germany.  Although it was not
occupied, I believe England was one of these countries, and their efforts at
appeasement did nothing to lessen their later suffering in the war.
