Matamoros statue in the Cathedral

My point is that love is not weak but strong! The Bible itself states that:
"Strong as death is Love" (or somethinig like that. Again, sorry for the
horrible translation).
Important spiritual figures or christian saints or martyrs were very tough
people.
Jesus was not a sweet, faible human being, nor was Gandhi. San Ignacio de
Loyola and San Francesco had been knights, and after those experiences they
lived very "strong" Christian lives.
The pilgrims who walked to Santiago or to Jerusalem or Rome were very strong
people, both spiritually and physically, and they often had to defend
themselves through violence from the attacks of robbers, pirates (for those
who came by sea), invaders whatsoever.
Last but not least: children and teenagers tend to despise faible parents or
teachers. They appreciate the strenght of love, they want to feel themselves
strongly loved.
