trekking poles

I carried one trekking pole with but it ended up being extra weight.
The only time I used it was to carve my initials in some fresh concrete
somewhere in rural Rioja. (I know, but I couldn't resist)  So unless the
Camino has been rerouted or the contractor came back, you should see
'Jim Texas'.  Seriously, I just never used the pole.  It stayed hung on
my pack.
