My recollection is that the path generally parallel's the N120 in this
stretch, but you do not walk the road. The trail is well marked and there
are a few opportunities to change from one path to the other. In these
cases, each trail is plainly marked. One variant that we very much enjoyed
was taking the steep ascent out of Villafranca del Bierzo. You will want a
staff for the descent which is very steep.
