Hello you all,
The Confraternity of Saint James has begun to search for a site in Pajares to
open up another British-sponsored albergue .
The purpose is to have a facility for those pilgrims that chose to follow the
Primitive Way, where albergues are scarce or nonexistent. The British
Friends of the Camino thus seem to do something practical about the saturation of
the French Way. The proposed albergue would also offer a needed resource to
those British pilgrims who take advantage of the low-cost flights from Britain who
land on the Bilbao and Santander airports.
For this purpose, members of the Saint James Confraternity met two weeks ago
with the Astur-Leonesa Friends of the Camino Association.
Hip-Hip-Hooray for the Brits!
Rosina
