Hi. It might be helpful to know what level the students are and what your
goals are (i.e., teach literature, or culture, or history, or spanish...)

Some good mystery novels involving the Road set in both modern & medieval
times -- is that too popular for your goals?

Good narratives include D Lodge's _Therapy_, which doesn't seem to have
anything to do with pilgrimage or Spain at first, but the Road comes in like a
Deus ex maquina.
