Santiago riding down the waves

In the IberoAmerican countries the knowledge of Santiago as "matamoros" is
not very widespread. The Apostle as Santiago is, however, widely honored and
revered; there are hundreds  of cities and towns named after him including, of
course, the Capital of Chile (Santiago), the second largest city on Cuba
(Santiago) and so on; however, there seems to be only one city, in Mexico, called
Matamoros.
I have a  booklet that lists all the cities in the American continent named
after Santiago.  I posted the list here sometime ago and it can probably be
found in the archives.
