Walking the Camino last fall, I had the good fortune of meeting two women
from Canada who proved to me that age is a state of mind. One was 67, the
other 69. They were triathaletes! I met lots of folks along the way with
gray, or balding, heads. My hat's off to them all, and I am grateful for
their inspiration. I feel much more optimistic about the prospects of
aging, and see retirement not as an ending but the beginning of having the
free time to do the things I love.
