   you might also be interested in Santo Domingo de Silos, where there is a
monastery well famed for its monks and their beautiful Gregorian chants.
The town is 75 km south of Burgos, a short bus ride and a wonderfully
peaceful place.   I stopped there two days during my walk in Sept. of 2002;
the monks chant at each mass and it is a very good experience.
