post-camino - writing about one's experience of the Camino

Pieter and others,

I have had an incredible response to my stories. People love to hear about the
journey of a then 45 year old woman who decides to go for a long walk to find
self love. I have sold over 600 CD's since July and a lot of these are repeat
customers. That says something.

Maybe it's because on the Camino, I found my purpose in life is to inspire
people. They see the passion in my eyes and want to be a part of it. Many people
write about me all the time in different newspapers, web sites, zines,
newsletters and more. They love the notion of going back to something simple and
peaceful like walking.

The Mother Superior in Leon told a group of us that we all have a light within.
When we finish the Camino, she said our light will shine brighter and it is our
responsibility to share that light with others when we go back home. She also
said the people will resist because they want us to be the way we were, but this
could be overcome. I took her words literally.
