Hello fellow pilgrims....

I am trying to organize a pilgrimage for a small group from my seminary.  We want to begin at Villa Franca del Bierzo.

Any advice on how to travel from Madrid, where we will be landing, to Villa Franca?  I know that Renfe does not have a station there, so I presume we would need to take a train to some close by village or city and take a bus.  Would Leon be a likely place?

Also, I am planning on taking ten good days of walking from Villa Franca to Santiago - any advice?
