Confraternities in America

Hello you all,
Fourteen confraternities are reported to be in America. None, alas! is in
the USA.

The listed confraternities are, from north to south:

1. Confraternity of St. James in Ontario (Canada)
2. Cofradia de Santiago de Queretaro (Mexico)
3. Cofradia de Santiago de Jinotepec (Nicaragua)
4. Cofradia de Santiago de Fontibon (Bogota, Colombia)
5. Cofradia de Santiago de Tunja-Boyoca (Colombia)
6. Cofradia del Apostol Santiago en Caracas (Venezuela)
7. Cofradia Nacional de Peru (Peru)
8. Cofradia de Santiago de Surco (Lima, Peru)
9. Cofradia de Santiago de Cuzco (Peru)
10. Cofradia del Apostol Santiago en Santiago (Chile)
11. Confraria do Apostolo Santiago no Ceara (Brasil)
12. Cofradia de Santiago en Montevideo (Uruguay)
13. Cofradia de Santiago Apostol (Mendoza, Argentina)
14. Cofradia de Santiago de L'Estero (Argentina)

As we know, the majority of American Santiago pilgrims are from the USA,
as are the majority of American priests that celebrate Pilgrims' Mass in
Santiago. It seems odd, to me, therefore, that we don't have a confraternity.
Should we form one? It could be co-related to the 700 Friends' members.
If there is any interest in doing so I volunteer to do the legal work
(incorporation, if such is needed, etc.) and the preliminary paper work. If
we do it, some computer maven would be needed down the pike to create a Web
Page, etc., (most confraternities have one), and to contribute thereto. That
should not be difficult; for what I can tell, there are quite a few computer
wizards in this list.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Warm regards,
Rosina
