Pamploma to Burgos

        After reading everyone's travels of their pilgrimage, they all seems to
go from Pamploma to Burgos via the route Estella, Logrono and on to
Burgos. But after looking at a map I see that there is a road that is
further north and it goes through Vitoria, my question is this, is this
route not part of the Camino and if it part of the Camino why don't
pilgrims take this route?
