Train destinations

I'm leaving for Spain this Sunday, and may take either the Somport or
the Roncesvalles route over the mountains.  Could someone please tell me
what the TRAIN destinations are for those places, so that I can easily
book something when I touch down in Madrid (I'm thinking that I need to
go to Pau for Somport, and Biarritz for Roncesvalles -and just wanted to
make sure.).

I was thinking of taking an overnight train, to get walking asap.  Is
that recommended? Thanks!
