THE PILGRIM'S STICK
I carved my Stick out of an Oak tree
So it would be steady and strong
I walked with Moses over the Red Sea
Before Pharaoh's soldiers came along
We pointed our Stick to the mountain
When all the water was dried out
And out came this sparkling fountain
Out of pure faith we do not doubt
Then we came to the Promised Land
Sure, it was a sight for God, although
I had to leave my Stick in desert sand
before I humbly entered Santiago
Great was the Glory that met the eye
I fell down on my knees to praise
Miraculous, I saw new Earth new Sky
In Absolution and Amazing Graze
Praise the Lady and the beauty to the Queen of Roses!
