Safety Issues in the Basque Region

Michael...even within the larger towns in the Basque region... Bilbao,San
Sebastian and Vittoria the violence is isolated and,while it can  have
devastating consequences...the death of small child in a car bomb in san
Sebastian last August was a shocker even for Basques themselves...I would
say you would be most unlikely to come upon any political violence in the
region.,certainly not on the camino route Francais. You might see some
flags,some graffiti....I think you should go!
