I don't know for a fact what Shirley did or did not do, but in 2000 I talked
with a hospitalero at Molinaseca, who talked about how Shirley had stayed
there and been horribly hounded by media, who even tried to get into the
shower with her!

It is a very interesting question about where fact ends and fiction begins. I
certainly wondered that about Paulo Coelho's book--I read it as if it were
both true and factual, and then I decided it couldn't have been. Maybe
there's a difference worth acknowledging between truth and fact, as well as
the difference we usually make between truth and fiction.
