[Howard Mendes]

I found Shirley's book entertaining and well written, fiction or not.  Parts
of it had the flavor of the Camino.  As for the mystical or dream-like
sections that were irritating or irrational for me, I just skipped them.  I
decided to do the Camino before I read the book, so it did not influence me
in any way.  I don't think it should stir up controversy on listserve.  Even
Shirley recognizes that she is the subject of derision for her mystical
"visions".  I agree that we should enlighten (sic) up.
