Shirley Maclaine's book

what a lucky moment, it must have been spectacular, I hope you have another
one on your next trip.
This makes me think of the saying "stop and smell the roses". Last year
down at the Jersey Shore we had the honor of using my brother's telescope
and saw the rings of Saturn while sitting on the beach at night. I was
uptate NY in South Fallsburg (Sullivan County) where my aunt lives and I was
marveling at all the stars and the cold, quiet night air. I realized that I
never look up at the sky in my daily life back in NJ. It is true that
pollution/city lights affect visibility of the stars. The incredible smog
cloud of LA comes to mind. But I think more so we Americans forget to look
up! Too busy balancing our check books and paying bills or driving to
work...
I just realized that my Camino has begun already, here talking with all of
you. I have to remember to look up starting now.
