BOOTS/more trhe merrier?

Hi Leonard et al,

I think the point of having an extra pair of shoes is
for evening comfort.

After walking all day, boots feel extra heavy, sweaty,
and sometimes rain-soaked - they need a chance to dry
and air-out. (Even waterproof boots can get water
inside them from the top in a heavy rain.) Evening
shoes should be something lightweight, dry and comfy.
I don't think an extra pair of insoles addresses those
issues.

When I went on my late fall pilgrimage, I took a pair
of flip-flops. They gave my feet opportunity to get
some air and stretch out. They worked as shower and
refugio lounging shoes, but as it got colder, they
weren't comfy for going out at night since you can't
wear socks with them.

Since my upcoming walk is in warm weather, I think
they will work for all my needs. But I am considering
taking a pair of walking sandals instead. Those would
be better arch support for evening comfort and could
also be used during the day for flat easy sections.
But they would not be practical for shower and
swimming - so I'm still torn.
