Birds and wild flowers?

My wife is a birder and we have yet to find a European bird or flower book in
English so we can't give you a lot of help.

I can assure you that there are lots of cuckoos on the Camino.  We decided that
they were telling us that we were cuckoo to be cycling the Camino.  Our German
friends told us that there was a kids game where they asked how long they were
going to live and then counted the number of cuckoos from a bird.  We never saw
a cuckoo but we didn't spend a lot of time looking.  There are also a lot of
storks,  just look at the top of all the chimneys.  We also saw geese, ducks
and birds that looked like robins.
