There is another book I'm thinking about, On Pilgrimage, by Jennifer Lash.
She writes of traveling from Paris to Le Puy, Lourdes, Vezaley, Taize etc.
on to Santiago.  As she writes it, she is battling cancer.  She is deceased
now.  A side bar is that she was also the mother of Ralph and Joseph Feinnes
the actors and four other talented children.

It also happens to be on sale at Daedalus Books as a reminder for $4.98.
