I have received several messages from the GOCAMINO group assuring me that the
URI system is functioning well and that there is just a momentary lull in the
correspondence. Thanks to all of you for you prompt replies.

It is a different story, however, for the two Yahoo groups. I sent the same
message to the Santiagobis and the Way-of-Santiago groups and neither message
was delivered. I received the following message from Yahoo and another similar
message for the Way-of-Santiago group:

We are unable to deliver the message from <rspengerahome.com>
        to <Santiagobisaegroups.com>.

The email address used to send your message is not subscribed to this
group. If you are a member of this group, please be aware that you may
only send messages to this group using the email address(es) you have
registered with Yahoo! Groups. Yahoo! Groups allows you to send
messages
using the email address you originally used to register, or an
alternate
email address you specify in your personal settings.

I was able to log onto the group website and open the membership list. I found
that I was still on the list, but that Yahoo had dropped my ahome address and
put in my Yahoo address instead. My subscription date had been changed from
some time in October of 2000, when Michel first started the group, to March 8,
2001. That was the last day that I received any mail from either of those two
groups. I checked the archives and found that there have been quite a few
messages sent since that date.

Since I regard my ahome address as my primary e-mail address and use the Yahoo
address only when I am away from home, I am very annoyed that Yahoo has
resorted to these tactics, but I don't know what can be done about it.
Apparently, they want to force Yahoo egroup members to use a Yahoo address as
the primary one. I don't remember any notice that they were going to drop the
other option.

Have any others of you had this experience?

regards,

Robert Spenger
