Hi Delphia,
Try negotiating the taxi cost in advance, despite the meter.  To approximate
the dollar equivalent of pesetas try dividing the pesetas by seven and
eliminating a couple of zeros.... that'll give you a rough idea. For
instance: 10,000 pesetas divided into 7 is about $14.30 and so on.  The ride
to Roncesvalles shouldn't be more than $20 or so.
