Lodging in Madrid

Hi Maddie,

Last August I stayed - without reservations - at the
Hostal Riosol, Calle Mayor 5, 2nd floor, telephone
91-532-31-42.

My price (I was alone) for a room with comfortable
double bed, private shower, sink, table, window with a
charming street view, steps from the Plaza Mayor:
4,000 pesetas. This room was considered a "matrimonio"
(double room), and the duena of the place, a darling
lady named Teresa, said there were also singles
available for even cheaper but that night she had none
of those available. This was August, remember.

Unfortunately, I don't know if English is spoken as I
used Spanish, but I imagine it is, as Sol is a tourist
area.
