request for openness

Perhaps this is all getting a bit ridiculous? Why can people not discuss
what they wish on an open forum regarding the camino? I am not
particularily interested in the number of pilgrims in the middle ages,
however, this is the place to discuss it. If you cannot appeal to others on
this list for information, then what is the point? I usually very much
enjoy this list, but recently it has been about people attacking each other,
and this is the thread which I find the most disheartening. It does not
appear to me that people are showing off with their academic cleverness. I
am not attacking anyone here, I am just another member who is a little sick
of the bickering. I am not interested in this particular subject matter and
thus... I delete the messages. People have their own ideas about what is
important on this listserv and where their interests lie, so, who are we to
judge what the current thread of conversation is?

Sincerely (hoping not cause an uproar, but to have the right to voice MY
opinion)
