new listserver with a few questions

I will be beginning my pilgrimage in mid June and have a few
questions for the experienced pilgrims.

1.  How warm are the refugios at night in mid June and July?  How
warm of a sleeping is necessary?

2.  How useful is a walking stick?  Do you suggest using one?

3.  Did anyone have problems with shin splints?  If so, any
solutions to the problem?

4.  Do you get your credential stamped every day (at the refugio) or
in each village as you pass through or both?
