If you are subscribed to pct-l at backcountry.net,
you may have noticed that there haven't been any postings since June 18.
It's not about you - check the archive at

http://mailman.backcountry.net/pipermail/pct-l/2019-June.txt

Likewise for cdt-l.

Currently, mail to pct-l at backcountry.net bounces. Neither Brick nor
Ryan responded to my inquiry. Fortunately the archives are still up.
Oddly, the monthly password reminder came on July 1 as usual.

So for the time being, and for as long as necessary,
I have set up pct-l at oakapple.net.
Anybody interested in continuing a pct-l email list until backcountry.net
is fixed, may subscribe in the usual way by email:

 mailto:pct-l-request at oakapple.net?subject=subscribe

or

send email to pct-l-subscribe at oakapple.net with any Subject: or none

and the opposite

 mailto:pct-l-request at oakapple.net?subject=unsubscribe

or

send email to pct-l-unsubscribe at oakapple.net with any Subject: or none

or by web at

 http://mailman.oakapple.net/mailman/listinfo/pct-l

In all of these cases, you will get a confirmation email that you can
simply reply to get confirmed.

When confirmed, you'll get an introduction letter with a password that
you can use to do things like enable or disable digest mode.
You'll be able to post by sending email to

 pct-l at oakapple.net

pct-l at oakapple.net will start off unmoderated and hopefully stay that way,
unless Brick would like to serve as moderator.
But only subscribers may post, as with most mailing lists.

I hope that the transition will seem pretty seamless and things will mostly
work the way that you are used to.
