Interval Arithmetic and Constraints for MS Excel

Dear Colleagues,

Range Solver for MS Excel is the first implementation of interval
arithmetic and constraint satisfaction for a commercial spreadsheet
program. It is intended for managing numerical uncertainty represented in
terms of intervals and constraint formulas (equations). The system was
exhibited at CeBIT96 in Hannover in March and shipments to end-users
started in May. A free demo version of the system together with the user's
guide are now downloadable at the WWW site of VTT Information Technology,
Finland:

Any comments concerning the system and the idea of generalizing the
spreadsheet paradigm by interval constraints are most wellcome.
