Dearest Bonny and David,
Pastor John Foss described seeking your dad’s marker as a very special and holy time during the DC trip.
Your family will forever be treasured at both AVCS and Crean Lutheran High School! Please drop by for a tour or visit if you are ever in the neighborhood! Our paver blessing at Crean was truly a blessed event.
I am glad you had a special time honoring your uncle; I felt the same way honoring my Granny!
In AWE of Him,
Deb

Dear Deb,
That’s great that the AVCS students visited Granville’s area at Arlington National Cemetery. It must have personalized the experience a great deal for them. The cemetery is always a special place where you sense so much sadness, but also dignity and reverence.
Donald Hough’s memorial service took place on August 16 in Gainesville, FL. My brother David, his daughter Susanna, and I were able to attend. We had a beautiful time honoring our uncle and sharing memories with our Hough cousins.
Thank you for your thoughtful update, and all best wishes to the LCC and AVCS community,
Bonny Miller

Dearest Bonny and family,
Thank you for letting us know about our brother-in-Christ, so that prayers may begin immediately for the family as well as for Donald’s continued comfort.
Prayers abound.
Also, did you know that our AVCS 8th graders went to Arlington and visited your dad’s resting place? I hope to get the picture to you soon. We also celebrated the love and legacy of your dad/mom’s commemorative paver at Crean Lutheran High School ~ David probably told you!
Take good care.
Connected by Christ,
Deb

Donald Hough has been hospitalized recently for congestive heart failure. Various intensive-care treatments did not bring any improvement. He is now in hospice care in Gainesville.
Susie, Donna, Suzanna, Susie’s niece Sharon, and Suzanna’s children have attended Donald around the clock in the hospice venue. He is not suffering pain, but is no longer able to talk.
Uncle Donald and his family are in our thoughts and prayers. We extend our loving thoughts to them all.
