Total length does not count for anything. The requirement is to walk the last 100km. On the french route, that would mean starting from a few km west of Sarria and doing the entire section beyond that in one piece.

If I do not have time for entire route, can I start at beginning, and take buses some parts and end in Santiago and still have a compostella if I walk over 120 kilometers? I heard there are so many special places along that way that I would like to see. Thank you.
