During the recent visit by Pope Francis to Brasil for World Youth Day (attended by millions!!!) some one made an observation that "spiritual" refers to ME, while "Religious" refers to US.
That makes a great deal of sense since the Greek etymological roots of the world religion mean "linking back."
By the way, I thought that the World Youth events in Rio de Janeiro were awesome. Just watching them on TV left me full of affection, admiration, hope and respect for the young people of the world.
Hugs!

Subject: RE: [saintjames] Pilgrim??
I don't know if it was in the new documentary "Six Ways to Santiago" or
somewhere else, but someone was pondering whether or not they deserved to
call themselves a pilgrim. He came up with the conclusion that he could
claim "spiritual reasons" and he was a pilgrim because he made changes in
himself while on the journey. So if you learned more about yourself or found
yourself changed in some way, you qualify. Sounded good to me!
