[Gocamino] Top of Route Napoleon to Ibaneta in the snow.

Hi,
We have had snow here very early and so today I drove up from St Jean 
Pied de Port to Ibaneta and then walked up to the top of Route Napoleon 
with my trusty Nikon. I've posted the results in an album on the

and will be posting some onto the site at www,errecaldia.com
A few thoughts about being up there. While it is incredibly beautiful 
it's also very cold, there was little wind, lot's of sun but even though 
I was wearing thermals, thick corduroy trousers, and a fleece lined 
jacket I could still feel it.  If you go off the beaten track snowshoes 
are a necessity and a pair of poles with snow rings at the tips.
I'm going to try driving up route Napoleon from the St Jean side 
tomorrow but suspect I won't get much beyond the road turning off to 
Arneguy because with the lack of tree cover on the French side of the 
route there tends to be much more drifting.
