[Gocamino] El Camino de Santiago beat its record with a 85% growth

Almost 270,000 people made the pilgrimage to Compostela in the year Xacobeo
2010, a historic record since it represents 49.9% more than the last Holy
Year in 2004 and 84.9% more than in 2009, according to data released by the
Archdiocese of Santiago.
This figure exceeds by 89,798 the number of people who finished in
Compostela Camino in 2004. In 2009 145,854 people received the Compostela.
The months of January and February recorded the lowest numbers of pilgrims,
1,169 and 1,640, respectively. Over 90% of the pilgrims counted for that
office of the Archbishop reported having religious or religio-cultural
reasons for walking the Camino de Santiago
