hi

i walked mid autumn (left sept 10 ish from sjpp). i had a light weight
down sleeping bag but would have liked something warmer. there were
times i was wearing all my clothes inside sleeping bag and still
chilly. leaving Leon, there was frost on the ground. i bought yarn and
needles somewhere in the meseta and knit myself mittens for the
mountains.

i tend to get very cold when i sleep no matter what the season (i
attribute it to very low blood pressure) and use down comforters at
home in july & august when the weather is quite warm. much will depend
on knowing yourself and what you need.

and pat -- i can relate to your snow & cold as we have it here in s.
maine, too. woke up to a foot of it this morning!
