Camino group members,
First an apology to my fellow Santiago-bisons. I should not have
included the S-bis address in that first message about my upcoming
return to finish the last 114 km of my trip. That was supposed to go
just to individuals who were not members of the 4 groups to which this
one is addressed. I will be sending my reports to the S-bis,
saintjames, and ultreya groups. There is no point in sending them to
the individual members of those groups; it would just be a lot of
duplicate mail for them. I won't be sending messages to GoCamino
because something in that group's software blocks messages sent out to
a large number of addresses — as I found out the hard way one time. If
there is someone in GoCamino only that wants to be on the list, let me
know.
Since this is going to be a short one, I have been wondering how it
will feel. My other trips have ranged from 500 to 1600 km. I just hope
that this one isn't too much of a disappointment. There was always
something special about the long term trips, especially those that
were over a month. It usually takes at least a week to just get into
the rhythm of the days. This trip, Sarria to SdeC was only 5 days on
my trip in 2000 and 6 days on my trip in 2002. I will be going much
slower this time around, but I can't see it taking much more than 10
days. There aren't enough stops along the way to take much more and I
can't think of any particular points where I would want to take
layover days.
