[Gocamino] Camino by Walker II

One of the marvelous things about being in touch with the Camino are
inspirational stories such as this one. But there is another aspect that is
very interesting to the point of being perhaps supernatural. I have seen a
man with cerebral palsy walking (really staggering) down the road, and I
heard through the Camino grapevine that he made it. In 2005 I met a man
named Julian, who had a stroke and had one side of his body barely
functional, we had to help him on with his pack. He made it also. And
there were others, as I am sure we all have seen who beat the odds and
arrived in Santiago for their Compostela. Yet I also met very fit people,
some of them young people, who didn't make it or couldn't make it because
their bodies gave out on them. It is hard to explain if you discount the
spiritual aspects of walking the Camino.
