I walked into a bookstore in Seattle a few days ago and they had this map
booklet, hot off the presses.

If you want a step up from the simple sketch maps in the guidebooks, this
little 3-ounce booklet of colored maps is a good way to go. As well as the
maps, it contains a useful summary of accommodations and costs. You can
reduce the weight further by removing the cover and the wire spiral binding,
and just stapling it together. Each map page is 4 in by 8 1/2 in, with what
feels like a slick somewhat water-resistant surface.

The route from St. Jean to Santiago and Finisterre has been broken into 40
separate maps. There are also city maps for Pamplona, Logroño, Burgos, Leon,
Ponferrada and Santiago de Compostela. Since each city is on a 4 by 8.5 in
map, they are an overview of the city, but still useful.

In the accommodation section it lists the number of beds, and has a $, $$,
$$$ code for costs. Phone numbers for many of the entries.
