Hi All,
I use the Ramsey Scallop as one of the options for historical fiction when my class is studying the Middle Ages. As I teach sixth graders in a private school, many of them are reading at the eight to twelfth grade level. Based on the students who have selected it in the past, I would recommend the book for students reading at the seventh grade level. Since there is both a male and female main character, the book should appeal to boys and girls, but it is generally preferred by girls. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and should read it again, post-Camino!
