Both the train (RENFE) and the bus go from Madrid to Zaragoza, then Zaragoza
to Jaca. The advantage of the train, it can get you all the way to Canfranc
Estacion - la frontera.

The bus leaves from MÉNDEZ ALVARO, conveniently a MetroMadrid, RENFE and bus
station all rolled into one. Take the bus leaving Madid on ALSA at 06:50,
arriving Zaragoza 11:15. There is an ALOSA bus leaving Zaragoza at 11:30 if
everything goes as planned, arriving at 13:40 in Jaca.

For RENFE, you can mix and match more trains, but at a bit higher cost than
the bus.
