I don't know how to do such things.? Maybe Grant can do it; ?(David is in France right now and I'm sure he's not going near any computers while there).
The plan's several preliminary discussions were reported in the electronic newspaper of the Archdiocese a while ago, mostly focusing on?the?hundred thousand Euros that it may cost to run it.? More recent discussions appear to indicate that if the guards prove helpful, and effective, this summer, they may be?on duty longer than the months of July and August later on, and may be in place throughout the entire Holy Year in 2010.??
I wonder if there is a correlation between the plan and?the increased Archiconfraternity membership dues.
As far as I know there have been no untoward offensive actions on the Camino related to pilgrims.? The only criminal act that I know about took place at the pilgrims' Office; someone absconded her/himself in the building and remained there after it closed; during the night that malfeasant broke the pilgrims' office' door and stole the "Donatives" receptacle and some pens.? The money in the receptacle could not have amounted to even 20 Euros, in the estimate of the people of the office, since this happened in late november at which time the average? daily "donativos" are about 15 Euros, if that.... But the damage to the hundred-years-old door was pretty awful and the cost to repair it quite significant.
I took some pictures of the damage and I think that I can post them here. Perhaps we can contribute something towards the restoration of the door.

Regards,

Rosina?
