from what i can glean, could it be that the catholic church feels  
compelled to remind pilgrims that the initial reason for the  
pilgrimage is of a religious base?...and a bigger question could be,  
does it really matter how many or of what sanction one's stamps come  
from or if they "count"?...the point of the journey, in theory,  
should be the journey, shouldn't it?...not the stamps or the  
certificate at the end...simply ink and paper...no one can take away  
or deny the experience of the walk.
