[Gocamino] Stones/ American albergue

I wrote this a couple of days ago but for some reason it didn't venture out
of my outbox. I forgot to mention that while Dwight and I were walking we
heard rumblings of a possibility of an American confraternity on the Camino
per the efforts of Rebekah Scott!

I think with the first issue of American Pilgrim last year it is a testament
that although it takes time to establish such "presence" it will happen. We
are moving in a forward positive direction. My partner and I completed the
Camino on November 16th of 2005 coming from St Jean Pied de Port. The only
American we met in our entire journey was a young man that grew up in
Germany. But we weren't deterred but happy to be the American ambassadors
the best we could even if at that time the only ones. We will return again,
and hope one day to our own American Auberque were we can contribute and
promote the American presence. In this day and age it is more imperative
than ever to improve the overall view of our country and it's people. Change
begins with an act of one man and multiplies. Rebekah you already have two
right here in old Georgia, USA. and we hope to be present in the future as
well in any positive way we can.
